CRAZY TEACHING SESSIONS
Hello dear teachers
On line teaching is always a challenge, one aspect that today will like to share with you is the unpredictable things and sound that happened at home, one of my most embarrassing stories there I was connected at home as usual, I don´t have a desk in room where I can place my computer and before we could change our background on the computer the wall of my room was the best option for my classes, so I used to give classes in my room where it was calm and quiet but I have dogs that usually behave well, but there I was speaking to my class and suddenly my dogs started to fight barking and biting each other but all over my computer during my session, I didn´t know what to do, because they we all over thecomputer and couldn´t log out of the session because my computer was on the edge of my bed and it was about to fall, my first concern was to separate my dogs and then the computer, so I did, either way my students were there watching what was happening, finally when I was able to control the situation and mute my session and turn off my camera I could punish my dogs and took them to the patio, and I got back to my class and apologize to my student for all the mess and the interruption for the class.
Because of what happened to me as teacher I also believe we should have like some tips for the place where we are at home giving about classes, well ad list for those of us that doesn´t have a special place like an office, but some situations are out of our control, for instance in my case if I leave the dogs out they are going to be barking or scratching my door and won´t be able to concentrate, that is why I have them with me most of the time they get along but this was the exception.

in my case the worst was at first, I went to my mom’s house to give classes because according to me there was less noise since my mother has no pets and there are no children in her house, poor her!!! the two weeks I was going to class early my mother had a hard time, she couldn’t turn on the blender, she didn’t turn on the TV, she didn’t see her cell phone to not produce any noise, She ended up fighting with the gas man because he parked in the garage of the house with the horn at full volume, my mother was more stressed than me🥴. I finally decided better to be in my house, turned out to be the best place and with less noise with everything and that I have pets and my daughter at home hahahaha what crazy!!

ResponderEliminaryou know there are situations that we can´t control at this way of working. At first it was very frustrating for me because I din´t know what to do. I wanted my class not be interrupted.
I asked everyone not to make noise, not to talk, it always coincided that the garbage passed, the neighbor knocked.... but I got tired, so I decided to ignore what happened in my environment and I think that since then less things have happened than interrupt me. Thanks for sharing your fun experience!
Hi Damaris! I laughed so hard with your anecdote hahaha. I like online classes, I mean, I think Im used to it, but there's something I really hate!! Every day noises interrump me!!! I am explaining something and my neighbors' dogs start to bark, the guy that sells tamales passes right outside my window, the gas service, etc... Sometimes I turn off my microphone during these situations, but most of the time I try to ignore them and I keep going with my classes hahaha.

ResponderEliminarI was imagining the scene while I was reading your anecdote the truth it is funny, impossible not to laugh.
I think funny things have happened to almost all of us and some of them even a little painful during this pandemic.
It happens to me that during my children´s classes the teacher asks them something and I answer when my son has his microphone open and his teacher obviously realizes that I am helping him answer his questions. On one occasion my son had an exam in my desperation to help him I took a picture of the exercise, the teacher realized and she asked to speak to me, I still blush with sorrow when I remember. I explained my reasons to her and she smiled, she told me not to worry but not to do it again. It was really painful experience for me.
